It’s Been a Long Time…..

Posted in Uncategorized on January 25, 2011 by wrkthtsht

Whaddup. It’s been a minute since I dropped some heat on here..my bad. Anyways I’ll be around more often bringing you music you need.  Got four tracks for yall. First up is a Chris Brown track produced by Diplo and Afrojack.  While I could do without Chris Breezy…Busta and Lil Wayne go fucking retarted on this beat that’s straight bananas if you ask me.  Doubt this track will blow but it’s dumb regardless.  Next is some Reef the Lost Cauze produced by Emynd.  Definitely some goodness.  Kinda on a hyphy vibe and will work in the right setting for sure.  Next, with Wiz Khalifa’s recent success you should already know his name. Although alot of people’s first exposure to him might be Black & Yellow (garbage IMO and if I hear one more multicolored  remix I’m gonna seriously flip) dude actually has alot of good music.  This track is featuring one of my personal faves, Juicy J so how can you go wrong. Plus the beat is on some straight pimp shit.  Check the Willie Hutch Sample.  Lastly is a Too $hort remix.  While I’m not all for remixing songs that are great in the first place, this one just works….WHAT’S MY FAVORITE WORD????

P.S. Check Juicy J’s “Toilet Bowl” rhyme in the Wiz track.  Pure comedy and that’s why I love Juicy J. You know just what to expect and he never let’s you down.

P.P.S. I know the pic has nothing to do with the post but it’s hilarious to me. “Fuck is this? A dollar?????”

Chris Brown feat. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne – Look At Me Now

Reef the Lost Cauze – Dick Need Goggles (Prod. by Emynd)

Trick or Treat

Halloween is fast approaching and most of us DJ’s are planning to go in on that Saturday Night.  As a special treat for those of you who are feelin the spirit of Halloween, me and the homie DJ B-Stee put together a remix of  Tracy Morgan’s “Werewolf Bar-Mitzfah”.  If you haven’t seen the video (from an old 30 Rock episode) it’s pretty damn hilarious.  It was only a short clip on the episode but Tracy Morgan actually recorded an ENTIRE SONG detailing a young werewolf’s passage into manhood. Check the clip below.  It’s a silly concept but I think the remix came out dope.  So give this track some love this month and especially on Halloween weekend!

Peace, DJ Archi

The background dancers get me everytime. Haha.

Werewolf Bar-Mitzfah (DJ B-Stee & DJ Archi Edit) – Tracy Jordan

P.S. If you are in the KC area this Halloween YOU NEED to check out the homie DJ B-Stee  at the Bacchanalia Private Club in Overland Park.  Its goin down..check out kchalloween.com for the deets. Shits gonna be live!!!!!!

Nottz

Although the name Nottz may be new to some, this producer/emcee has been putting out QUALITY hip-hop bangers for quite some years now…yet still remains under the radar.  Check his catalog because  he’s probably produced some (album) bangers you had no idea he produced.  Snoop Dogg & R. Kelly “Pass That Shit” is his biggest commercial successes to date, but his real talent shows on his boom-bap underground shit.   His new album dropped today and here’s two tracks off of it that I’m diggin. One featuring Black Milk and the other featuring Joell Ortiz respectably.  Certified neck snappers for sure!  Anyways his new album is entitled “You Need This Music“, and judging by two of the new leaks he may be right.  Looks like alot of good features on it! (Mayer Hawthorne, Dwele, Kardinal, and Little Bro. just to name a few.) Good to see him putting out that raw shit that he KILLED in the late 90’s-early 00s’.

Support good music always….peace.

Nottz – The Cycle (ft. Joell Ortiz)

Nottz – Blast That (ft. Black Milk)

P.S……Throwback joints from Nottz.

Off the 1st G-Unit album, Young Buck goes innnn.  And the (pretty much unheard of) Cory Gunz track is just fuckin absurd…….trust me and give it a listen.  Dude flipped a fuckin Christmas Carol song. Word?

Cory Gunz – Comfort and Joy

G-Unit – Walk With Me

Kardinal…..Part II

Posted in Uncategorized on October 6, 2010 by wrkthtsht

Keepin with the theme of one of the most underrated emcees in the game I’m droppin some more Kardinal on you.  Ol Time Killin and Bacardi slang were my first exposure to Kardinal and Canadian Hip-Hop for that matter. They are OFFICIAL bangers. I remember when these joints used to come on Rap City..when Big Tig was holdin it down (see post below for more on that note).  Anyone remember the Bacardi Slang video..Kardi and his boys wylin out in that big ass yellow hummer, with the big puffy First Down coats? That right there just lets you know what era this came out in. But yea Kardinal is rediculously slept on and has been doin his thing for a minute now (both of these joints are circa 2000-2001). CANADA STAND UP!

– Peace DJ Archi –

P.S. If you thought Drake was the first dude puttin on for Toronto…#killyoself!

Ayo if yo if you’re like me you remember when Rap City was Rap City. When I actually paid attention to videos.  When they would actually influence my CD purchases. When Big Tigga was the host there wasn’t another show touchin that shit at all. Here are a few joints that that were certified bangers that might be gettin slept on from that era.

Canibus – Get Retarted

Def Squad – Full Cooperation

Redman – I\’ll Be Dat
